Where do you live?

I live in a Teesside close to the foot of the Cleveland hills, England.

How did you start card making and / or scrapbooking?

I’ve kept a scrapbook in some shape or form ever since I was little [who said I’m still little?]. I then moved on to decorating several photo albums as gifts and while buying supplies for those I discovered the wonder that is ‘scrapping’!! I made cards for a few years until I realised that I wanted to keep all the lovely things I bought! So I started making layouts for myself and now I’m really rather obsessed!

What would you say defines your style?

‘Stuff’. And lots of it. I’ve often attempted the minimal look but find that blank spaces just cry out for me to fill them with bits and bobs and lovelies! My favourite aspects are playing with colour and pattern, using non-traditional scrapping supplies and bringing humour into my work.

What tends to be the focus of your scrapping?

Because I consider my scrapping as a form of diary keeping, my main focus of my work is me! I like to record the things I do and feel, the things that interest me, my collections, pastimes and ideas. I always say that it makes sense for me to scrap myself as much as I do because, if I suddenly get the urge to scrap and need a new photo, then my own face is usually on hand to be photographed!

What is your favourite dessert?

I’ve had some amazing desserts in restaurants but sometimes [well, lots of times actually] there’s nothing that can beat a vanilla slice from my local bakery with a nice strong cup of tea.
