How did you start card making and/or scrapbooking?

I ventured into card-making in 2004 and kept hearing about scrapbooking. I became curious and decided to attend a beginner's class and became hooked after that! I then realized that it was something I used to do more than 10 years ago. I would keep a journal about my vacation travels, collect souvenir bits and later arrange them in an album. It was good to re-discover scrapbooking in a new light with archival materials. I've been scrapping for over 2 years now and am glad to have found a hobby that allows me to display my photos more creatively. Best of all, I get to collect and play with lovely papers which I've always been doing since young!

What would you say defines your style?

Patterned papers and stamps! The kind of papers I have will define how I go about doing my layout and what stamps I want to play with will also determine the final outcome of my pages. My scrapping style is constantly evolving. I love to experiment with new techniques and try out new styles and trends. I've done the linear, clean cut style although I don't think it expresses me at all. I'm currently into layering and collage and having great fun with that style.

What tends to be the focus of your scrapping?

My main inspiration comes from my two boys. They feature a lot in my layout. However, I'm also trying to scrap everyday, mundane moments as well as time is so transient and it will always be good to look back at what one used to do in a daily life! I also scrap events that occur and precious moments with relatives and friends. In fact, these days, I try to look for any occurrences that can be scrapped!

What is your favourite dessert?

Well, it has to be 'ice kacang', an all-time favourite dessert found in the Far East! It's contains fruit salad, covered with shaven ice shaped conically, laced with different types of syrups and topped with chocolate sauce. It's the ultimate sin! Unfortunately I don't get it here so my second best would be fruit salad with chocolate ice-cream!
